President Donald Trump Sued for Blocking Twitter Users. A group of Twitter users have sued Donald Trump for violating the First Amendment. They claimed that President has blocked after they criticized him on Twitter. Donald Trump has also bashed social media platforms when he observes that they have posted something unfavorable about him.

President Donald Trump Sued for Blocking Twitter Users

Trump use @realDonaldTrump account has been sued according to the knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University in New York along with other twitter users. This group claims that President blocking users who post against him is violation of U.S. Constitution.

Twitter users who have criticized the President policies said:

“In an effort to suppress dissent in this forum, Defendants have excluded – ‘blocked’ – . This practice is unconstitutional, and this suit seeks to end it.”

Twitter Users argued that Mr Trump is violating constitutional law by blocking people from reading his tweets or replying to messages. The blocked people said that everyone should have freedom of speech and its unethical to block anyone just because his views are different than yours.

Mr Trump tweeted on 6 June:

“Sorry folks, but if I would have relied on the Fake News of CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS washpost or nytimes. I would have had ZERO chance winning WH”

Some twitter users took President’s side that his account is personal and not official. He has all the right to block people as anyone else.

These rights should be extended to social media platforms, television and radio. Blocking private citizens from reading a president’s communications threatens the democracy,freedoms, and future of a nation.
