Upaisa, a joint venture of Ufone and Ubank, has won the Best Bank-Led Mobile Money Programme award at the Mobile Money Global Awards 2013 in Dubai, UAE.

Mobile Money Global Awards 2013 is a renowned and glamorous platform for companies to showcase their achievements to industry’s top 500 executives from the mobile money sector. The ceremony took place between 5th to 7th November as part of the Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global conference. The ceremony was held to recognize organizations that develop, establish and deploy mobile money programmes. The winning procedure of the awards was purely voting based.

Etisalat – the parent company of Ufone and Ubank – and Master Card also won the award for Best Mobile Money Deployment in the Middle East for the launch of Flous in Egypt.
