WhatsApp Launches a Handy Feature for Users

Yesterday, the messaging giant WhatsApp announced the launch of chat filters for both Android and iOS users. It means that users will now be able to filter the chat list as per their choice. There are a total of three of these filters, and you will find them above the list of conversations for easy one-tap access. They include:

• All
• Unread
• Groups

So, simply, when you tap on All, it will show you all of your chats. On the other hand, if you tap Unread, you’ll only be able to see those that you haven’t read or any unopened chat that you haven’t opened for a long time. Lastly, if you click on Groups, you will only be able to see your group chats and subgroups of Communities.

In this regard, WhatsApp said,

We believe filters will make it easier for people to stay organized and find their most important conversations and help navigate through messages more efficiently. We’ll continue to build more options to help you focus on what matters most. These are starting to roll out to users today, and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

The chat filters have started to roll out and will be available to every WhatsApp user “in the coming weeks”.
