Zong Takes the Lead in Mobile Data Speeds: PTA Survey

Recently, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has conducted a survey in major cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar to evaluate whether mobile operators are providing services as per Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or not. As these indicators are given in their license and applicable regulations. The survey is in progress within other cities of Pakistan.

Zong Takes the Lead in Mobile Data Speeds: PTA Survey

In this survey, Zong has become the top telecom network by PTA in Mobile Data speed by comparing it with other networks. There were following attributes through which the evaluation was done.

• Users Data Throughput
• Signal Strength
• Call Connection Time
• Call Completion Ratio
• End to End Speech Quality
• End to End SMS Delivery Time
• Call Completion Ratio and much more

In Data throughput, Zong,got the top rank with 7.71 Mega Bites/Sec. On the other hand, Ufone became the lowest among all NGMS operators. With the help of graph the comparison with other networks can be observed clearer.

In signal strength Zong was ranked at the top number with 83.50(dBm). In network accessibility Zong got the lead with 99.99%. Similarly, in Call Connection Time got the lead Zong by 8.35 and in call completion ratio it topped by 99.07%.

In SMS success rate Zong gave the outstanding result with 100% rate.

Although there are still some scope of improvement in the area of end to end speech quality and end to end SMS delivery time. We hope that Zong will maintain these standards and improve the areas where they lack behind.
