Dr. Basit Riaz Sheikh resigns from USF

Dr. Basit Riaz Sheikh, the Chief Executive Officer of Universal Service Fund has resigned from his position and has submitted his resignation to the Minister for IT and Telecom, Anusha Rahman.

Dr.Basit Riaz Shaikh, the former CEO of USF has also served as Advisor to IT and Telecom Ministry in 2012 and he is considered as a well versed technical figure and one of the highly qualified personalities of Pakistan. He devoted his services in bringing this needy technology in Pakistan and he is also considered as pioneers in planning to bring 3G technology in Pakistan.

The post of CEO is now advertised on the official website of USF and the candidates are being short-listed for the post of CEO, so we will soon see the post filled.
