Enrique Lores is HP’s New CEO

Lores will take over from 1st November.

HP has announced that the current CEO Dion Weisler will leave his seat due to some family health matters. The new HP CEO will be Enrique Lores. He is president of HP’s printer division at present. According to press release, He will be on his seat by 1st November. According to news told by HP, Weisler will be the director on the company’s board. He will serve there the next annual stockholder meeting, which will be held on April 2020.

Weisler was appointed as HP CEO since 2015 when HP was divided into two branches. One was PC Inc., and the other was HPE. PC Inc was led by Weisler and HPE (Enterprise Services Business) led by Meg Whitman until she left. She is the cofounder of Quibi, a short video platform.

About new HP CEO

Lores has served in HP for around 30 years. He started working as an intern engineer. Further, he was the part of the group who presented HP a zero-gravity printer designed for International Space Station.

HP reported on Thursday, Aug. 22, its fiscal Q3 earnings of 58 cents per share on revenue of $14.6 billion, beating Wall Street estimates of 55 cents a share. However, shares were down by almost 5% at $18 in late trades.
