Galaxy Note 9 Catches Fire in Women Purse: Samsung Terrible Fire Memories are Back

Now it happened once again: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 catches fire in a women purse. From last 2 years, Samsung is going through bad times. Initially, the battery of flagship Note 7 exploded which revealed that the device had some issue. The company had to recall all devices back to fix the issue. However when the people were provided with new devices, even they caught fire, sinking Samsung’s name.  August 2017 was the most difficult time for Samsung when they were accused of selling phones with exploding and draining batteries.

After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 caught fire, the company had to face a lot of criticism. Due to Note 7, Samsung was in very bad position and till that time trying to regain its position with the launch of some extraordinary devices. However another Samsung device Note 7 caught fire, leaving a bad mark on Samsung once again.

Galaxy Note 9 Catches Fire- Burst into Flames in Women Purse

Women revealed that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 caught fire inside a women’s purse from New York. In a lawsuit, she told that she was using Galaxy Note 9 on Sept. 3 when it became extremely hot. The women stopped using the phone and put it in her purse. After some time she heard a whistling sound and noticed a thick smoke coming out of her purse.

She filed a lawsuit in Queens Supreme Court and told that she had removed the phone by emptying the purse on the elevator floor. The fire went on getting more until the passers picked the device from a cloth and put it in the water.

This incident took us two years back when Galaxy Note 7 devices had caught fire. In 2016, Samsung had discontinued the device terming it as a battery flaw.

After the incident, Samsung created an eight-point inspection process for its batteries.  DJ Koh, head of Samsung’s mobile business, said last month:

“The battery in the Galaxy Note 9 is safer than ever,”. “Users do not have to worry about the batteries anymore.”

In fact, the company is taking the lawsuit very seriously, “investigating the matter” while highlighting this is the first complaint received in relation to a Galaxy Note 9 explosion. After the horrible incident Samsung said:

“Samsung takes customer safety very seriously and we stand behind the quality of the millions of Galaxy devices in use in the United States,” Samsung said in a statement. “We have not received any reports of similar incidents involving a Galaxy Note 9 device and we are investigating the matter.”

Previously, According to some users, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 displays had some signs of leakage. At the left side of the screen, a light leakage is spotted. Galaxy Note 9 owners are very dishearted and distracted due to this. The problem is seen at the edge of the display where it hits the metal frame.
