The President Mamnoon Hussain recently attended the meeting of Telenor Group and said that Pakistan has a big market for IT industry. The meeting was headed by the President and CEO Sigve Brekke discussing the situation of IT and Telecom sector.

Minister of State for Information Technology & Telecom Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan was also present on the occasion.President Mamnoon encouraged the continuous development in information technology, telecommunication and digital services. He also said that this development is effectively contributing in the growth of the country’s economy.

While commenting on the role of Telenor, the President said that the company is facilitating people in their best way. He also assured the government assistance and support for all the productive aims of the company.

The CEO of Telenor Group Sigve Brekke while addressing the audience apprised President Mamnoon Hussain about various services being offered by Telenor Group in different sectors like banking, education, health and agriculture sectors in Pakistan. Brekke also stated that he is satisfied with the government cooperation with the company.
