Snapchat said in a blog post:

The holidays are a great time to hang out with friends and spend time with family – it’s always better together! We couldn’t think of a better time to announce Groups, a new way to communicate with up to 16 friends on Snapchat.

Users can create their group by simply sending a snap or making a new chat. The names of all members will appear at the bottom of the screen. Users can also make one-to-one chat with any of the group member without letting know them. By simply tapping on their name one-to-one chat will start. Fromm there they can easily come back to group chat.

Along with the Group creation, Snapchat also introduced two new tools, scissors and paintbrush. By using scissors, users can cut the specific part of a snap and can use it as a sticker. However, by using paintbrush, users can turn their snaps into artistic masterpiece.

According to the latest list revealed by Apple, Snapchat is the most downloaded app of 2016. No doubt, these newly introduced features will help Snapchat to maintain its popularity in the coming year.
