Updates, be it Chinese focused Hydrogen OS, or Oxygen OS, both will offer the same features to owners of newly released OnePlus 6 and other devices compatible with it such as OnePlus 5T.
The features of the new update were reported by Gizmodo’s Tom Pritchard. He revealed the new features in Hydrogen OS update are following:
“In the Hydrogen update was activation of the front-facing selfie camera, which was originally announced at launch, a portrait mode preview for the rear camera, game optimizations, phone call voice optimization, the option to automatically add Bluetooth calls in headphone mode, and a battery percentage icon in the status bar”
The battery percentage will actually show up on the status bar after the update. Previously it could be seen in the notification bar when it was dragged down.
The above feature list is also confirmed officially by OnePlus on its forums. Well, let’s see how much time will be taken to jump from Chinese platform to the platform to this global one.
This update has come as a relief for many OnePlus 6 users who were having issues of call handling and Bluetooth pairing.
