Xiaomi rolled out a beta version of Android Oreo few weeks ago for some of Mi A1 devices. This fast charging feature was revealed by TelecomTalk who discovered it while testing the update on Xiaomi Mi A1. In 92 minutes Mi A1 was charged upto 100 percent.

It means the charging time is reduced by around 30 minutes. TelecomTalk revealed that this test was performed by using OnePlus charger instead of that which came with Xiaomi Mi A1.

Xiaomi smartphones don’t support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge. The reason behind it is that manufacturer doesn’t pay the license fee required to use the technology.

Fast charging is a great news for Xiaomi Mi A1 lovers. Xiaomi Mi A1 users will be able to get the Oreo beta update once stable version is rolled out for all users. The fast charging will also increase sales of Xiaomi handsets as they are already affordable added with perk of fast charging.
