#BanUberPakistan Floating on Social Media After Terrible Event

Uber and Careem are ride hailing service providers and facilitating People of Pakistan in moving around. No doubt, they are doing their best in order to facilitate their customers and improving their services day by day but we have found some cases over the social media where people showed dissatisfaction about their services and especially complains about the behavior of the drivers. Most recently, #BanUberPakistan has highlighted a new issue of rough behavior of Uber’s driver.

A guy named Hamid Sarfaraz wrote on his Facebook page about the recent case of bad behavior of Uber’s driver with his sister. He demands Uber Pakistan to offer a formal apology in the next 26 days otherwise he will sue the ride hailing company in the Consumer Court of Pakistan.

#BanUberPakistan Highlights a Terrible Event on Social Media

This incident happened on August 30 at around 2:45PM. According to Hamid Sarfaraz:

“My brother hailed an uber ride for my sister. It was a White Wagon R which had to pick her up, the driver’s name was Shahid. The uber driver accepted the ride and was supposed to pick her up from Subway in Askari X and drop her off at her desired destination”

He further mentioned in his post that first of all the driver reached late and then said to the lady ( Hamid Sarfaraz’s sister) that “I can’t take u there and I am going to call u another ride”. After a while, the driver said that I am going to cancel the ride and you order a new one. In the response of that, a girl said that why did you accept the ride in the first place if you are not willing to go to said destination? The driver answered that I am not your father’s household help, and I am not liable to answer you, just get out of my car. Which is no doubt very rude and harsh reply.

This is not a right way to treat your customers dear UBER. At least, the company should give proper training to their drivers that how to deal their customers or arrange some communication skills classes for them. We hope that company will take notice of it and will take an action against the harsh behavior of the driver named Shahid.
