Google Drive Dark Mode Is Rolling Out To Some Users

We all already know that Google Drive is a powerful cloud service. The service allows you to store files and create documents. Moreover, the app even has a robust sharing system that helps you collaborate with friends and colleagues. A month back, we came to know that Google is updating its app to reflect the new Material Theming convention. The Material Theme Refresh made its way to Google Drive users in phases. According to the latest reports, Google Drive Dark Mode has started showing up for some users.

Users Seem To Be Getting Google Drive Dark Mode

A few Reddit users have recently shared that Dark Mode is finally making its way to the Drive App. The entire interface will be flipped around and all menus will be properly themed. The best part is that there don’t seem to be any issues with text readability as we saw with Google Photos’ dark mode.

Almost a month back, Google Drive received the Material Theme Refresh. The update brought the following changes:

  • New Home tab and bottom navigation bar
  • Expanded search bar
  • My Drive, Computers, and Team Drives in Files view
  • New account switching experience
  • Revised actions menu
