Instagram APP For Windows 10 Phone Removed From Microsoft Store

Ironically, a recent update to Instagram for Windows 10 to version 30.1569.12133.0 added some excellent features but removed the option to install the app on handsets running the mobile version of OS. However Instagram is still available on the desktop version. Instagram ends support for Instagram APP For Windows 10 Phone.

So now Instagram users will have to switch to Instagram mobile website instead of logging in on App. Instagram mobile site allows users to use filters, post photos and put up stories or more. As far as Windows 10 Phone users are OK with this, its not a big issue. To me its surprising as Mobile apps are easier to access as compared to other means.

Instagram APP For Windows 10 is no longer Available Shockingly

Windows Phone users had to wait for whole six years to get Instagram version of photos and videos sharing app. Facebook should have thought about it once before taking this shocking decision. Instagram APP For Windows 10 had arrived with marvelous features and people were very happy about it.

When people were asked why they don’t purchase Windows phone, many consumers gave “app gap” the reason for it. In March 2016, the beta version of Instagram arrived on Windows phones, however it was limited to windows 10 mobile users.

Right now it is not clear why Instagram is no longer available on Windows 10 Mobile as neither its parent company, Facebook, nor the service itself released an official statement on the matter. However, considering the growing number of apps that recently dropped out of the platform, it’s not hard to understand why Instagram followed suit.

However those users who already had installed Windows Phone can still use it like before. Also, one can get it in the “My library” option in the Microsoft Store, if you had owned it before.
