Instagram IGTV will now Support Landscape Videos

Instagram keeps on introducing something new for its users to keep them alive. This time something new has arrived for people using Instagram’s IGTV platform. Yesterday, Facebook-owned company announced that after so many requests from users, Instagram IGTV will not support Horizontal (landscape) videos too. Now people would be able to watch a full view of video by turning their phone horizontally.

Instagram IGTV is getting Better

Previously, IGTV only allowed people to watch movies, etc. vertically. The photo-sharing app revealed that the landscape mode will be very useful for people watching high motion videos such as dance and sports. While telling about the launch of this new feature, Instagram said that:

“We realize this is an evolution from where IGTV started — we believe it’s the right change for viewers and creators. In many ways, opening IGTV to more than just vertical videos is similar to when we opened Instagram to more than just square photos in 2015. It enabled creativity to flourish and engagement to rise — and we believe the same will happen again with IGTV.”

The company had launched the IGTV platform in 2018. Later on, it had facilitated creators to upload the previews of IGTV videos to their news feed.
