PITB Hosted Peaceful Pakistan Event to Spread Awareness on Breast Cancer

To spread awareness on Breast Cancer, HR wing of Punjab Information Technology Board- PITB hosted an event named “Peaceful Pakistan”. Different representatives from PITB and other relevant organisation like  Pink Ribbon attended the event. PITB Hosted Peaceful Pakistan Event to Spread Awareness on Breast Cancer.

Peaceful Pakistan is a government initiative to promote a peaceful narrative and anti-extremism discourse in Pakistan while endorsing peaceful coexistence, interfaith harmony, and national unity.

Among other key speakers, Ms. Bushara Butt, Member Provincial Agency Punjab addressed the people. While asking to fight with breast cancer, she said that Healthy mothers build healthy nation.

She revealed that mother feed for infants is the most hygienic and healthy activity. It also prevents chances of breast cancer.A women should realize the importance of issue and it is the duty of  educationists, medical practitioners and media to help women know about breast cancer causes and preventions.

MPA Bushara Butt also shared the efforts of Punjab government to promote healthy well being among women.

Bushara Butt said:

“Punjab government is dedicated towards educating women on health issues to prevent prevailing diseases like breast cancer. Special preference is being given to promoting breastfeeding through various campaigns since it is one of the major sources of preventing breast cancer. Through various programs the government of Punjab is reaching out to women in far-fetched areas. The government is also encouraging day care centers at work place to facilitate breastfeeding mothers.”

Dr Tayyaba Wasim being another key speaker shared information related to breast cancer to audience. She requested all the women to make their heath as top priority.

While talking about Breast Cancer she said:

“Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer in women, and the second main cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer.

Every year, around one million women are diagnosed with breast cancer. So its necessary to build awareness for women to take preventive measures. She also asked people to take regular check ups and build habit of self examination.

This is a good initiative for PITB to build public awareness regarding breast cancer. On the other hand PITB is striving hard to digitize Pakistan by launching different projects.
