PITB Organizes the Technology Festival ‘The Mix’ in Lahore

To further promote the startup culture in Pakistan, PITB Organizes the Technology Festival ‘The Mix’ in Lahore. The two day event was a huge hit, started on Saturday. The event was organized as an initiative to ignite conversation on disruption through technology in media, music and startups.

The Mix event was full fledge activity including outdoor activities, indoor presentations and panel discussions. People from different segments of society attended the event.

The Mix actually focused on the impact of increasing technological influence on all aspects of modern life. Such an interesting topic convinced technical students to take part in event.

Umar Saif, Chairmen PITB enlightened the importance of technology in today’s era. He said that technology has always played a vital role in development of a country. PITB’s smart applications are allowing improvements in health, education, economy, revenue and other areas.

Plan 9 Project Manager Zainab Tariq said that:

We have brought this festival in Pakistan following the model of Austin, Texas since a dedicated technology exhibition in Pakistan will only attract professionals and not the youth,”

The topics of discussion for the event included science city exchange, evolution of art, crowd sourcing innovation, being SMART, tech’s possibilities on restoring heritage, movie making, and multimedia efficiency for businesses and entertainment.

Outdoor activities of the event offered a range of eatables, along with live music, from startups in the food industry and bands attempting to hit big on the music industry.

This is a good initiative from PITB as it will not only bring awareness among youth but also will build more startups and entrepreneurs in Punjab. PITB is really working hard for youth of Pakistan. This is evident from the launch of Incubation Centers on and off in major cities of Pakistan.
