Snapchat Introduces World Lenses – Adds AR Elements

Snapchat has always took lead when it comes to innovative features in the App. The rest of social media platforms or messaging Apps are found copying different features of Snapchat these day, hence lacking creativity. Similarly, this time also Snapchat Introduces World Lenses – Adds AR Elements into App. The new “World Lenses” feature will add augmented reality (AR) elements to the images the user is taking with Snapchat camera. This means that the user will get 3D view of his/her image similar to the augmented reality (AR) concept.

Whereas, the Snapchat team didn’t call “World Lenses” feature a truly AR option in the blogs, rather they are defining it as “paint the world” with “3D experiences.”

“World Lenses” feature is an amazing interpretation of AR, however it does not require any QR code etc.

As we already know that Snapchat is the pioneer of filters in App industry, hence by introducing “World Lenses” feature we can expect that it will further attract users towards this App.
