This program will demonstrate the impact of startup incubators on the local, regional, national and global economies. The program will spark discussions on the state and local government strategies that foster and support activities and policies for startup incubators. The delegation will also meet various startup incubators and entrepreneurs in America to discuss experiences, challenges and successes. It will also explore innovation in business strategies, public private university partnerships and digital technologies for business expansion. To close the loop of managing incubators, the program also explores venture capital and angel fund investors and the process for choosing which startup companies to fund.

The untapped potential of working women in Pakistan is a lost opportunity for economic growth and development. This program will illustrate the impact of women-owned businesses and explore the progress of women participating more fully in the global economy. She is the only participant representing Pakistan in a group of 54 members from all across the world. Through this program, these participants examine the socio, economic and political factors that influence and encourage women as entrepreneurs. Participants will also examine leadership development in women, job creation, access to capital, marketing, education, and innovations in encouraging entrepreneurship.  Lastly, they will learn about incentives for women entrepreneurs offered at the federal, state, and local levels of government.

Parvez Abbasi, Project Director at the National Incubation Center says

“This is a great opportunity to bring international learnings and global best practices back to Pakistan. We are grateful to the U.S State Department for giving us this opportunity to team up and share learnings which will help to further develop capacity at the NIC in line with our vision to build and influence the startup ecosystem”

We wish them good luck for this journey and look forward to the learnings they will bring back to their home country!
