Google Pay for money transfer is the best thing one can use. However, this service had one security lapse, i.e. it never rolled out biometric authentication for carrying such a sensitive business of transferring money to one another.

Previously, if someone had to send money via this platform, one had to enter the same old pattern in order to authenticate themselves Alright, it is also safe but what if someone knows your password/pattern? So the most impregnable authentication of its kind is biometric. This feature will be starting from the version 2,100. Google will also be adding fingerprint and face authentication support for money transfer.

Will Biometric Authentication make Google Pay Safer than before?

The answer to this question is yes and at the same time no. Definitely, adoption of biometric verification means that one cannot transfer money without checking with your first, unlike pattern which can be entered by anyone who knows it. However, at the same time, one can not overlook the harmful technology these days. Just like S10, whose biometric verification was compromised. So everything is possible when you rely on technologies to do the task for you.

Currently, the feature is only available for Android 10 devices. However, the company will be rolling it out to everyone soon.
