The Picture sharing platform has finally come up with the solution other than deleting pictures. Yes Instagram has added a feature that lets you archives your posts. It means now you can hide disliked pictures from your profile easily.

This feature was in testing process from last month however it is officially rolled out yesterday. Instagram has introduced archive feature for both iOS and Android users.

Instagram revealed in a post:

Your profile is a representation of who you are and evolves with you over time. With Archive, you now have more flexibility to shape your profile while still preserving moments that matter.”

The best thing about this feature is that you can view you archive photos to keep your memories alive. Even if the memories are ugly, they are yours.

How to Hide Pictures from Instagram:

To hide pictures from Instagram you need to follow the following simple steps:

  • Go to the photo that is to be archived.
  • Simply tap on  “…” sign on Photo.
  • A menu will pop up. Press Archive from the list of options.

 

If you want to view archived content, click on the new circular arrow symbol on the top right of your page. In order to make archive content viewable to your friends, Tap the Archive’s circular arrow symbol and hit show on profile.

With this new feature, Instagram hopes that users will not delete photos permanently and will be able to save memories with a middle option.
