Now you Can Search Instagram Stories by Location and Hashtag

In the race of getting better, Social media App copy each other in the best way. This time Instagram is following the footsteps of Snapchat and has released new feature with the latest update. With the new feature, Now you Can Search Instagram Stories by Location and Hashtag.

Users will enjoy searching for ephemeral stories on public accounts only. The same story related feature was launched by SnapChat two months ago.

Now you Can Search Instagram Stories by Location and Hashtag

Instagram said in a blog post:

“Today we’re excited to announce two new ways to discover the world around you on Explore: location stories and hashtag stories. Now you can see what’s happening around you and find stories related to your interests,”

Now users will see new story rings at the top of Explore which will show stories happening near your location. When you click on the ring, you will see all the stories from public accounts with location.

When you want to explore stories using hashtag, you will see all the stories on the top corner with same hashtags. By using location sticker and a hashtag in your story, you will engage great audience. When you add a story, a line will appear at the top of your stories showing the number of people viewed it in larger story.

If you want to use location or hashtag to your story and do not wan it to appear publicly, Instagram will cover you. For this purpose, click on the X on your stories viewer list and the story will not appear in explore.
