Reason being that armed robbers use mobile game Pokémon Go to lure players into trap. This has been confirmed by the US police as they informed that the Missouri suspects actually used Pokémon Go’s geo-location feature in order to target unwitting victims. The O’Fallon Police Department in Missouri observed and investigated this after another incident saw game lead player to dead body.
What actually is happening in this augmented reality game? In the game, users use a beacon (torch light) in order to lure more players to their location or area and hence police officers believed this actually alerts criminals about the victims’ location, where they are robbed.
The police department is warning all players to “use caution when alerting strangers of your future locations.”
Hence, Pokémon Go is perpetuating great danger these days.
