The company is testing a new feature named Snapchat status feature in Snap maps that will check where your friends are and also allows you to see what your friends are doing on a specific time.

To show your friend what you actually are doing at a specific time, you can choose any Bitmoji. The best thing about this feature is that one can also create a list of places you have visited. The name of this particular feature is a passport.

The new Status feature is Snap Maps is in a testing phase right now and is only available to a few people in Australia. However soon this feature will be launched for everyone.

How to useย  Snapchat Status Feature

Well not everyone would have this feature right now however if you are one of those lucky people who have it, you can access the feature by opening Snap Maps. Now click on the status button place in the left corner of your screen. From this option, you will be able to select a list of places and you can also type custom places. Upon doing so, you will be provided with aย list of Bitmojis that clearly represents your activities or locationย you visited.

Upon selecting your location, the Bitmoji will automatically show up on the map and will show people that where you actually are. Your status will stay there until you leave that specific location however if you want to delete the status itโ€™s up to you.

Well, there is a point to ponder! When Snapchat is launching this news status feature, will it not compromise your privacy? The target market of Snapchat is a Young lot who can not decide whatโ€™s good for them and whats not. SO parents should be worried about this new feature of Snapchat.
