As per expected, Sony has launched its flagship devices at Mobile World Congress. Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact Smartphones have almost same specifications with minor differences. According to Sony, Xperia XZ2 is the world’s first smartphone to offer 4K high dynamic range (HDR) video recording.

The 5.7-inch Xperia XZ2 will be available in Liquid Silver, Liquid Black, Deep Green, and Ash Pink. The 5-inch Xperia XZ2 Compact will come in White Silver, Black, Moss Green, and Coral Pink. Sony Xperia XZ2 comes with an HDR display, stereo speakers, Snapdragon 845, 4K HDR video recording, and Sony’s super slow motion on board.

The phones have fingerprint reader to the back of the device under the camera. Both phones come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Moreover, users can expand the memory by using its Micro SD card slot. The phones also support wireless charging.

The company is also making efforts in the 5G space to explore various opportunities with ecosystem partners. Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, Sony Mobile Communications said,

“We have been exploring 5G opportunities with a variety of network partners globally. We are also working with Ericsson and Qualcomm.”
