WhatsApp Adds New Skin Tones for Select Emojis in Latest Beta for Android

WhatsApp for Android received beta v.2.19.366 which not only fixes the bugs but also brings number of new features. In the latest update, WhatsApp brings new skin tones for six different emojis. The emojis include ‘woman in manual wheelchair’, ‘man in manual wheelchair’, ‘woman in motorized wheelchair’, ‘man in motorized wheelchair’, ‘woman with probing cane’, ‘man with probing cane’.

This update fixed a serious bug that caused to crash the last version of WhatsApp beta for Android. Though the new update brings notable changes but still we are unable to see the long rumored dark mode will in this latest update.

Those users who are enrolled in the WhatsApp beta programme can go to the Google Play Store in order to update to the latest WhatsApp beta version. In case you are not enrolled in the beta programme of WhatsApp but want to test it out then you can download the apk from a third-party app store as the beta programme for WhatsApp on your device.

According to a report by WABetaInfo:

“With the update, the Wallpaper option, which was earlier located under chat settings, has now been moved to a separate Display section. The instant messaging app has also added new skin tones for six different emojis”

Currently, this new update of WhatsApp is not live for everyone as the company has started the rolling out in phases in order to avoid server congestion. So don’t get upset, if the latest update didn’t hit your device yet. Keep calm and wait, soon you will get to see the update on your device.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has also confirmed it officially that now it is going to take legal action against those businesses which are engaged in or assisting others in abusing automated or bulk messaging on its platform.
