WhatsApp for Desktop getting third-party animated Stickers

WhatsApp keeps on bringing new features for its app. This time WhatsApp has come up with ideas to improve its desktop version. In an effort to do that, WhatsApp for Desktop is testing third party stickers. Previously the company has tested third party stickers for iOS and Android but the desktop version has remained deprived.

This news was revealed by WABetainfo. WhatsApp already has stickers on its Desktop app, however, they are not animated. By getting third party stickers, WhatsApp will have a wide range of stickers to choose from.

This idea will be somewhat the same as the GIFs on WhatsApp. Currently, WhatsApp users can search from the library and the collection remains never-ending. By adding third party stickers, WhatsApp users will have plenty of options to choose from. When it comes to stickers, the messaging app will probably allow you to choose from the pool of stickers and download them.

According to rumors, WhatsApp is also working on its web application. It means we are soon going to see a makeover to the desktop version. Some rumors which are not confirmed suggest that in new WhatsApp version for desktop, users will be able to use the app without opening them on their mobile. Though I do not believe and cannot rethink how the WhatsApp will be able to launch such kind of desktop app.
