Recently, WhatsApp users received beta 2.19.297 for Android. The new beta version also brings a new Light Splash Screen feature, which is a new page that you get to see initially when you load the app for the first time. It appears with the WhatsApp logo plastered on a white background.
Initially, this new launch screen feature was spotted in the Business beta and right after a few days, it appeared in the latest Android beta. The latest Android beta update also suggests that a Dark Splash Screen feature is also in the testing phase but it will take some time to appear within the latest version of the app.
WhatsApp Splash Screen Feature Spotted
The news about the latest beta 2.19.297 update was broke by Tracker WABetaInfo. It has also given the confirmation of the new Splash Screen feature in the Android beta for users for the very first time.
Users can easily get this version by enlisting in the WhatsApp Google Play beta program. Other than that they can also sideload it via APKMirror.
According to the tracker. this feature was first spotted in WhatsApp Business beta for iOS 220.127.116.11, and has now been spotted in this Android beta as well.
The tracker also spotted that the Dark Splash Screen feature is under development, but not available for users yet to run. But the tracker has given the confirmation that the part of the Dark mode development will arrive soon.
Furthermore, Android 2.19.297 beta update also brings support for the ‘Payments’ feature, but that feature is currently available only for users living in Indonesia.
