Google Maps Latest Update Allows Users to Share Live Location, ETA for Bus & Train Journeys

Now users will be able to share live location and ETA for bus and train journeys via Google Maps latest update. This latest update is an extension to the original Share Location feature. The original feature allows users to share their real-time location. However, this latest update let users share live location and ETA for bus and train journeys.

Initially, Google Maps latest update is only available for Android, but it is expected that soon it will be available for iOS in the coming future. To experience this new feature,  users must have to update the Google Maps app on their Android device.

Now users will be able to share the progress of bus and train trips with their family and friends via this Google Maps latest update. Well, not only people in your contact list but also those people who are using third-party apps such as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp will be able to see the user’s live location and ETA.

In order to share bus or train trip, users must have to visit the Transit tab after they add their destination, then they will have to enable navigation for an appropriate route from the list, and at the end will have to tap the Share Trip button from the bottom-right corner. Once they have done with it, they will find a list of contacts with whom users want to share the live location.

Moreover, users can also choose a third-party app from the list, including WhatsApp, Hangouts, or Messenger to share live location and ETA.
