Inauguration of Mobile App and Helpline by the Supreme Court

The current government of Pakistan launched an app to address complaints of citizens regarding behavior of government officials. It is called as citizen portal. It is not very highly affective. But still a platform has been provided to address grievances of a common person.

Inauguration of Mobile App and Helpline by the Supreme Court

Following the footsteps, Supreme court also launched a mobile application and helpline recently. The app carries a purpose of providing swift justice to common people.

A ceremony was organized at the supreme court. During the ceremony honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan, Asif Saeed Khosa announced to launch a mobile app. Along with it, Supreme Court call center 1818. Also facilitated complete video link in 05 Court and initiated a Research Center. And lastly the website was upgraded to make it more user-friendly.

The ChiefJustice quoted that, “We have landed in the 21st century, the century of technology and advancement.”

There are many criticizing voices towards the judiciary. They are mostly related to delay in hearings and some accusations also entails that only the cases of powerful people are being heard. The weak citizens of Pakistan have to wait a very long time for their turn to come.

Therefore, the initiation of an IT-based facility will certainly reduce the criticizing voices. Because the trials conducted by the technological help will be much more faster and convenient. Judges would be able to hear all cases online. People from far-flung areas won’t have to travel to main cities for hearings.

The updated Supreme Court website includes user interface improvements for online case status, cause list search, and judgment search tools.

The Supreme Court Call center 1818 will address the complaints related to cause List queries, Case Search problems, Judgement queries, and process-related questions.

The Mobile app of the Supreme Court is now available at Google Play Store. Download the app as soon as possible and examine if its truly effective or not.
