iPhone 16 Pro Rumours: New Colors and Features Leak

A fresh set of rumours has emerged regarding the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro, offering a glimpse into what we might expect this fall. The first rumour hints at a new colour lineup for the iPhone 16 Pro.

According to a post on Weibo (via ShrimpApplePro on X), Apple is considering replacing blue titanium with rose titanium for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

In the previous iPhone 15 Pro series, Apple switched from shiny stainless steel to matte titanium. The current lineup includes black, white, natural, and a darker shade of blue. Notably, this was the first lineup since the iPhone XS in 2018 to exclude a gold finish. Rose titanium seems to be the titanium equivalent of gold.

The descriptions suggest that both the black and white titanium versions will be available. The black version will be available as space black, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple has previously offered a space black titanium Apple Watch Edition and is reportedly considered a black titanium Apple Watch Ultra.

The white titanium iPhone 16 Pro may also resemble the iPhone 14 Pro version of the same colour. White iPhone Pro models typically feature an off-white shade for the back glass, but the silver iPhone 14 Pro had a bright white glass. This design choice could return with the iPhone 16 Pro.

Additionally, natural titanium may be updated to a different shade of grey. iPhone 15 Pro rumours initially described what became known as natural as titan grey.

These colour changes were first reported last month based on descriptions rather than actual colour samples. The latest source also links to the accurate deep purple iPhone 14 Pro leak.

In a separate leak, an early case design suggests the inclusion of a cutout for the rumoured Capture button. This new button will be on the lower right side of the iPhone 16 Pro, providing convenient access to camera features in a more accessible location than the Action button.

If the Capture button materializes, it could potentially free up the Action button for another function, particularly for those who assign camera features to the programmable button. Apple already includes a dedicated hardware button for capturing spatial video and photos on Apple Vision Pro.
