WhatsApp Ads For Android and iOS will start rolling out first in the status feature. According to WhatsApp’s Vice President,

We are going to be putting ads in WhatsApp ‘Status’. That is going to be the primary monetization model for the company as well as an opportunity for the businesses to reach people on WhatsApp.”

This new feature will work similarly to Instagram. While browsing through stories of people, you will sometimes see sponsored posts.
