No doubt, we all know that video streaming App, Youtube is extensively used by millions of people to see their favorite songs etc. So it’s not surprising to know that CEO of Youtube, Susan Wojcicki revealed that the platform has 1.8 billion registered users who are watching videos every month.
Milestone Achieved: YouTube Gets 1.8 Billion Logged in Users
This figure doesn’t count those people who watch Youtube video without an account. This milestone was announced by Susan at YouTube’s Brandcast presentation to advertisers, discussing the success story of the company. Previously, the company also announced that it had 1.5 billion logged in monthly users by mid-2017.
While discussing achievements, Wojcicki also revealed about the prblems faced by YouTube during the last some months. While telling about them, CEO YouTube said that:
“This is the impact of an open platform: it brings the world together in ways that were just not possible before. But we’ve also seen that with openness comes challenges, as some have tried to take advantage of our services,” Wojcicki said. “It is incredibly important to me and to everyone at YouTube that we grow responsibly.”
He also told that to cater parent’s concern, they have made certain changes like changing YouTube Kids option for human curated videos. He also promised to hire 10K moderators for it too.
No Doubt, 1.8 billion monthly registered users clearly reveals the success story of YouTube and how it is famous among people of all age groups.
