The new update will include the following features

• Commute tab: Google Maps will get a new “Commute” tab that will merge together the “Driving” and “Transit” tabs. Now users can tell Maps how they get to work each day. And then in return, Google Maps will give them the most up-to-date traffic info.
• Mixed-mode commutes: This feature is suitable for those who switch their transports. Google Maps will now give the appropriate information about each leg of your trip.
• Public transit info: This feature is suitable for those who prefer to use public transport. Google Maps can now tell you if your train or bus is running late. Moreover, this feature will be available this week for 80 regions around the world, with more to come soon.
• Fast access to music: Everyone loves to listen to music or podcasts during their journey and Google has made it easier to operate your music player during your trip. Maps will now integrate with Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play Music, and show you a mini-player right within the Maps app itself.

Google is continuously making its apps more convenient and user-friendly. Recently, Google has updated its Lens App. Google Lens is a dedicated app that figures out the contents of an image and provides more details about exactly what you’re looking at. Earlier, users can access this app in three ways only; from Assistant, Photos, or the Camera app on a small number of supported devices. However now, the Google Lens will be integrated into Android’s system-wide sharing center with an upcoming update.
