Microsoft just recently announced Skype’s new version with new incredible features. The most important and amazing feature that has come with the latest update is ” the ability to archive conversations in Skype“.
The new Skype App update is rolled out for both Android and iOS platforms. However one can only download it if they are enrolled in the Skype Preview Insider Program.
Here’s how to Archive Conversations in Skype
If someone has already updated beta version, they will be able to archive conversation from the following places:
- The chat list item menu. (Right click or long press on a conversation);
- The chat settings within the conversation profile;
- A keyboard shortcut for the conversation open.
The conversation will remain archive until the latest conversation will make it move up. If a conversation is archived on one device, it will be archived on all devices. Microsoft revealed that the new features i.e; the ability to see all archived conversation and the option to have conversations automatically unarchived when you select and open them might be added in the future at users’ requests.
A few days back, Skype launched a new Preview for Android, version 8.29.76 has come with a couple of new features. Now you can make Skype calls on your Smartphone and record them from the app. This would be best for those people, who used to rely on a third-party call recording app before their functionality was borked by the Android Pie update.
